Kuwait Fire: Know How Fire Started In Southern Kuwait Building That Claimed Over 40 Lives
Kuwait Fire: Soon after the news of death of more than 40 workers in Southern Kuwait due to a massive fire went viral, India's External Affairs Minister (MEA) S Jaishankar expressed grief. According to the reports, at least 41 died, including several Indians, and more than 50 got injuring after a massive fire broke out in a building in Mangaf, southern Kuwait.
Reacting to the saddening news, MEA Jaishankar expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased though a post on micro-blogging site X. He said, "Deeply shocked by the news of the fire incident in Kuwait city. There are reportedly over 40 deaths and over 50 have been hospitalized. Our Ambassador has gone to the camp. We are awaiting further information. Our Embassy will render the fullest assistance to all concerned in this regard."

It was learned that the building belongs to a company and nearly 160 people were living in the company's accommodation here.
The reports said that the fire erupted in the kitchen at the six floor of the building and soon the fire engulfed the entire building. It was also reported that people more than the capacity of the building were living their.
According to the health ministry of Kuwait, nearly 43 people have been hospitalized yet, dead bodies of four have been recovered. An official reported that victims who were hospitalized are now in stable condition.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has also released an emergency helpline number for Indian workers and their family members to get updates about their health condition.
"The embassy has put in place an emergency helpline number +965-65505246. All concerned are requested to connect over this helpline for updates. The embassy remains committed to rendering all possible assistance," officials announced on X.
