Kuwait Fire: Indian Ambassador Visits Injured Workers At Hospital, Assures Support

India's Ambassador to Kuwait, Adarsh Swaika, visited a hospital where several Indian workers were admitted following a fire in Kuwait City. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of five Indians and left at least 30 others injured. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait is coordinating assistance efforts.

The Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, expressed deep shock over the incident. He committed to providing full assistance to those affected by the fire. Jaishankar stated, "Deeply shocked by the news of the fire incident in Kuwait city.

There are reportedly over 40 deaths and over 50 have been hospitalized. Our Ambassador has gone to the camp. We are awaiting further information. Deepest condolences to the families of those who tragically lost their lives. Wish early and full recovery to those who have been injured. Embassy will render the fullest assistance to all concerned in this regard."

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has set up an emergency helpline number: +965-65505246. This line aims to support those impacted by the incident and their families. The embassy remains actively engaged in addressing the needs of the victims.

Investigation and Responsibility

Sheikh Fahad, Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, stated that real estate owners' violations and greed contributed to the fire. "Unfortunately, the greed of real estate owners is what leads to these matters," Sheikh Fahad remarked. He also manages the interior and defense ministries.

The Indian community in Kuwait is waiting for more information as investigations continue. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the fire and implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
