Kuwait Fire: Here Are The Helpline Numbers Released By Indian Embassy

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has released emergency helpline numbers for Indian nationals in view of fire accident on Wednesday in a building housing workers in Mangaf, southern Kuwait.

Over 40 people including five Indians have been killed while over 80 individuals have been injured in the incident.

The building reportedly accommodated nearly 160 workers from the same company. The Embassy has provided the helpline number +965-65505246 for those seeking assistance or information.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait stated, ,"In connection with the tragic fire-accident involving Indian workers today, Embassy has put in place an emergency helpline number: +965-65505246. All concerned are requested to connect over this helpline for updates. Embassy remains committed to render all possible assistance."

Additionally, the Indian mission in Kuwait has a pinned post on X with updated WhatsApp helpline numbers and email IDs.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. "Deeply shocked by the news of the fire incident in Kuwait city. There are reportedly over 40 deaths and more than 50 have been hospitalized. Our Ambassador has gone to the camp. We are awaiting further information. Our Embassy will provide the fullest assistance to all concerned," Jaishankar said.
