Kremlin Denies Report Of Donald Trump-Vladimir Putin Call On Ukraine Conflict: 'False Information'
On Monday, the Kremlin dismissed a report from US media claiming that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US president-elect Donald Trump had discussed the Ukraine conflict over the phone last week.
The Washington Post reported on Sunday that Trump had spoken with Putin on Thursday, advising him not to escalate the conflict.

However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists the report was "simply false information," denying any such phone call took place.
The Post's report claimed that during the call, Trump had reminded Putin of Washington's significant military presence in Europe.
According to sources speaking to the US paper, Trump expressed an interest in further discussions on "the resolution of Ukraine's war soon."

Trump has not yet outlined how he would achieve a peace deal or what terms he might propose.
The Russian president has demanded that Ukraine retreat from large parts of its eastern and southern regions as a condition for peace talks.
The Post further reported that those familiar with Thursday's alleged call said Trump briefly raised the issue of territory with Putin.
Following Trump's election, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that there should be "no concessions" to Putin.
He argued that ceding territory or agreeing to any of Moscow's other hardline demands would only embolden the Kremlin and result in further aggression.
