KP Sharma Oli To Take Oath As Nepal's New Prime Minister On Monday

KP Sharma Oli, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) has been named as the new Prime Minister of Nepal on Sunday by Nepal's President Ramchandra Paudel. According to the reports, KP Sharma's swearing ceremony will be held on Monday. He will take charge of the country for the fourth time.

The oath ceremony will take place at around 11 am at the Shital Niwas, the main building of Nepal's Rashtrapati Bhawan.

KP Sharma Oli claimed the majority and proposed his name to President Ramchandra Paudel for the Prime Minister's post after Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda lost the vote of confidence in the House of Representatives earlier on this week.

Hours after Pushpa Kamal Dahal's government collapsed, KP Sharma Oli submitted support letter to the President signed by 165 elected members including 88 Nepali Congress (NC) members, along with 77 from his Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) party.

It was also reported that Cabinet Ministers in KP Sharma Oli's new government will also take oath along with the new Prime Minister.
