Know How Israel's 200 Jets Entered Iran's Tehran And Launched Attack

More than 200 Israeli jets launched five waves of airstrikes on more than 100 targets within Iran on Saturday. These strikes focused on critical sites, including the Natanz nuclear facility, ballistic missile locations, and military bases in cities like Tehran, Shiraz, Tabriz, Isfahan, and Kermanshah. The Natanz site, crucial for uranium enrichment, suffered significant damage with reports indicating the destruction of a new underground complex.

Israeli jets managed to enter Iranian airspace through Syria by first disabling Iranian and Iraqi air defenses. This strategic move ensured minimal resistance during the strikes. The timing of this operation coincided with heightened tensions following Iran's missile attacks on Tel Aviv. This was likely intended to surprise and disrupt ongoing diplomatic efforts such as nuclear talks.

Precision Targeting of Key Personnel

The operation also involved targeted assassinations of high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists. Among those killed were Maj Gen Mohammad Bagheri, Iran's armed forces chief of staff, and Gen Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Additionally, nine senior nuclear scientists were eliminated, including Fereydoon Abbasi and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi.

Alongside aerial assaults, Mossad executed covert sabotage missions deep within Iran. These missions aimed to cripple Iran's strategic missile array and air defense capabilities. By targeting these areas, Israel sought to further weaken Iran's military infrastructure.

International Context and Reactions

The United States was not directly involved in the operation but was informed beforehand. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. would defend Israel if there were any retaliatory actions against it. This operation is part of a broader escalation in the conflict between Israel and Iran, raising fears of a potential regional war.
