Khalistani Leader Pannun Announces $10,000 Reward For Pro-Palestine WC Final Pitch Invader

Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has announced a USD 10,000 (Rs 8.3 lakh) reward for the man who breached security at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to meet Virat Kohli with a 'pro-Palestine' message during the World Cup final on Sunday.

The man, who breached the security, has revealed his name as Wayne John. The incident happened before the first drinks break. The security personnel apprehended the man, who was identified as an Australian of Chinese-Filipino origin. He was arrested and taken to Chand Kheda Police Station.

On the front of the T-shirt, the message "stop bombing Palestine" was written, and on the back, it stated "Save Palestine." His unexpected intrusion took everyone by surprise, but security apprehended him.

As per News 18 report, top intelligence sources have labelled this as a "dirty trick" by the Pannun, head of Sikhs For Justice (SFJ). They assert that Pannun resorts to such tactics to assert baseless claims. These sources underscore the SFJ's track record of making assertions without offering concrete evidence or support.

The ICC strictly prohibits political sloganeering during its events, and such acts are also not allowed in India. It's worth noting that Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas have been in conflict since October 7, triggered by an attack on a music festival in Kibbutz Re'im by the latter.

Wayne John has told the authorities that he is a fan of Virat Kohli and his intention was to meet him and convey his support to Palestine.

Coming back to Pannun, he has a long history of making anti-India comments. Days ago, he had threatened to shut down the World Cup. Last month, he had announced a cash reward or the "citizen's arrest" of Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Verma in connection with the murder of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

A few weeks ago, the designated terrorist had released a new video asking Sikhs not to fly in Air India aircraft after November 19, as their lives can be under threat.

Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered a case against Gurpatwant Singh Pannu over this incident.
