Kamala Harris' Campaign Gets Desi Boost With 'Nacho Nacho' Song, Aims To Woo South Asian Voters | WATCH

The viral beats of Nacho Nacho from RRR have found a new stage, this time in Kamala Harris's presidential campaign. Indian-American entrepreneur and Democratic fundraiser Ajay Bhutoria has adapted the Oscar-winning song to rally South Asian voters, producing a vibrant music video to encourage support for Harris in key battleground states ahead of the upcoming U.S. elections.

S. S. Rajamouli's RRR gained global acclaim, with Nacho Nacho (the Hindi version of Naatu Naatu) making waves worldwide.

Kamala Harris

Bhutoria, a key member of Kamala Harris's National Finance Committee, has created a 1.5-minute video featuring the catchy chorus "Hamari Ye Kamala Harris" (Our Kamala Harris). Produced by Ritesh Parikh and sung by Shibani Kashyap, the video blends campaign highlights with upbeat music and includes messages from community leaders in languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Bhutoria explained the goal of the project, saying Harris represents a "shining future" for Indian-Americans, aiming to unite voters across Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona.

The initiative hopes to energize five million South Asian voters. Bhutoria also hinted that more Bollywood-inspired campaign songs are in the works, including one for Harris's running mate, Tim Walz.

The campaign aims to capitalise on the cultural connection with Bollywood music to appeal to the diverse South Asian American community, as Harris faces off against Donald Trump in what promises to be a competitive election.

As the campaign heats up, the much-anticipated debate between Harris and Trump on September 10 could mark a pivotal moment. Harris, who rose in popularity after Joe Biden endorsed her as his successor, has been neck and neck with Trump in recent polls.

According to Bhutoria, the campaign is gearing up to "turn up the volume" with its Bollywood-inspired strategies to secure Harris's victory against her Republican rival.
