The killing comes just hours after gunmen attacked a Geo News van in the Bahadurabad area in which a senior sattelite engineer Arshad Ali Jafri was killed.

The Pakistan media has had several run ins with the Pakistan spy agency, ISI in the recent past.

A senior journalist Hamid Mir who was injured after being targeted in Karachi had blamed the ISI for the attack.
