Former Haitian Senator Sentenced to Life in Prison for Assassination Conspiracy

A federal judge in Miami has sentenced former Haitian senator John Joel Joseph to life in prison for his role in a conspiracy to assassinate President Jovenel Moïse in 2021. Joseph is the third of 11 suspects to be sentenced in the case.
