Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sánchez's Alleged $600 Million Wedding Plans Revealed

Sources have disclosed alleged details surrounding Jeff Bezos' wedding to Lauren Sánchez.

The business magnate and Emmy Award-winning journalist began dating in 2019, with news of their engagement breaking in May 2023, reported Unilad.com.

After 25 years of marriage, Bezos announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott, with whom he shares four children, in a statement shared on his Twitter account in January 2019.

The post read: "We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other. If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again.

"Though the labels might be different, we remain a family, and we remain cherished friends."

Reports from the same year also revealed that Sánchez was divorcing her Hollywood agent husband Patrick Whitesell after 13 years together. The pair share two children, with Sánchez also having a son from a previous relationship.

Subsequent sources confirmed Sánchez and Bezos were dating, and while they were often seen together, they did not publicly comment on their relationship until 2021, when Sánchez posted on Instagram wishing Bezos luck with the launch of his aerospace company Blue Origin.

In the same year, Bezos jokingly responded to a viral clip of Sánchez meeting Leonardo DiCaprio.

In 2023, Sánchez told WSJ Magazine that she and Bezos "love to be together" and "love to work together." In May 2023, news of their engagement broke, and sources later suggested their wedding might take place on December 28.

Three sources revealed the alleged date of the ceremony, with another saying the couple had booked Japanese and sushi restaurant Matsuhisa in Aspen, Colorado, for two days before the event.

The actual ceremony is believed to be taking place at the luxury retreat Dunbar Ranch.

One source told the outlet that the wedding is expected to cost an estimated $600 million - which is hardly a stretch, given Bezos' net worth of $244 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Aspen event planner Janie Lemons also offered some predictions for the couple's big day. She speculated that they had "outsource[d] pretty much everything except transportation and lighting," and those involved were likely required to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

However, these claims remain unconfirmed. UNILAD has reached out to Bezos' representatives for comment.
