Jaishankar on Operation Sindoor: 'World Must Demonstrate Zero Tolerance Towards Terrorism'

India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, has reacted strongly following the launch of Operation Sindoor, under which Indian Armed Forces targeted and destroyed nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Emphasizing the global threat of terrorism, Jaishankar urged the international community to adopt a policy of zero tolerance against it.

Taking to social media platform X, Dr. Jaishankar stated, "The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism. #OperationSindoor." He also called on other nations to take firm and unified action to completely eliminate terrorism.

To recap, India carried out a series of precise and coordinated strikes, eliminating nine terror sites-four within Pakistan (including Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot) and five in PoK. According to reports, these attacks have resulted in the killing of approximately 30 terrorists. The strikes were conducted using specialized precision munitions and involved all three branches of the Indian military-the Army, Air Force, and Navy.

The Ministry of Defence has announced that a press briefing on Operation Sindoor will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at 10 AM. The briefing is expected to provide comprehensive details about the operation and the role of each military branch in its execution.

In the aftermath of the successful operation, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke with the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force to commend the coordination and execution of the mission. Meanwhile, sources confirmed to ANI that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was closely monitoring the operation throughout the night, receiving real-time updates as the strikes were underway.

Sources have further verified that all nine identified terror targets were successfully destroyed in the operation.
