Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to the US, in August invited Trump's daughter to India for Global Entrepreneurship summit in Hyderabad on November 28. Ivanka will be in Hyderabad for two days where she will be attending Global Entrepreneurship summit. Ivanka will speak at the inaugural session along with Modi.
Ivanka earlier attended Diwali celebrations in the Oval Office with US President Donald Trump. They were later joined by senior Indian-American members of his administration, including US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Administrator of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Seema Verma.
A video of the White House celebrations and Trump's message was posted to the President's Facebook page. In his last year in office in 2016, Obama for the first time observed the festival of lights in the Oval Office.
