Israel's Defence Minister Says 'Tehran Will Burn' If...
The Israeli Defense Minister has issued a stern warning to Iran, stating that "Tehran will burn" if missile attacks on Israel persist. This comes after a deadly exchange of strikes between the two nations, with casualties rising on both sides. Global powers are urging for de-escalation as tensions threaten to escalate into a broader conflict.
On Saturday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz addressed Iran directly, warning of severe consequences if missile attacks continued. His comments followed Iran's missile barrage in response to Israeli strikes targeting Iran's nuclear program. Katz, alongside IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and Mossad Director David Barnea, accused Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of endangering Iranian citizens.

Escalating Tensions and Global Concerns
The Israeli military confirmed that its operation, named Rising Lion, successfully eliminated nine senior Iranian nuclear scientists. These scientists were reportedly involved in advancing Iran's nuclear weapons capabilities. The military stated that the airstrikes were based on precise intelligence and represented a significant blow to Iran's ability to develop weapons of mass destruction.
In retaliation for the Israeli airstrikes, Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles into Israeli territory overnight Friday. The skies over Jerusalem and Tel Aviv were illuminated by explosions as Israel's Iron Dome defense system and U.S.-supplied interceptors worked to neutralize the threats. Civilians across central Israel were urged to seek shelter during the attacks.
International Reactions and Military Support
Israeli authorities reported at least three deaths and numerous injuries from the missile barrage. Meanwhile, Iran's U.N. ambassador stated that 78 Iranians were killed and over 320 wounded due to Israel's strikes. As tensions continue to rise, the United States has provided limited military support, with American air defense systems assisting in intercepting Iranian missiles.
Despite international calls for peace, both nations show no signs of backing down. Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei vowed revenge, declaring they would not allow Israel to escape safely from what he termed a "great crime." The situation remains volatile with potential for further military action increasing by the hour.
