Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Big Warning On Gaza Ceasefire
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a warning regarding the ceasefire in Gaza. He threatened to withdraw from the agreement, following Hamas's threat to halt a planned hostage release. An Israeli official confirmed that Netanyahu has instructed the military to increase troop presence in and around the Gaza Strip.
Hamas accused Israel of not fulfilling ceasefire terms, including failing to allow a specified number of tents and aid into Gaza. Consequently, they announced a delay in releasing three more hostages. This development has added tension to the already fragile truce.

US President's Stance on Hostage Release
US President Donald Trump took a firm stance, insisting all hostages be freed by Saturday. After meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II at the White House, Trump expressed skepticism about Hamas meeting this deadline. "I don't think they're going to make the deadline, personally," he remarked, suggesting Hamas was posturing as tough negotiators.
Since the ceasefire began, Hamas has released 21 hostages through five exchanges for over 730 Palestinian prisoners. The next phase involves freeing all remaining captives and extending the truce indefinitely. However, Trump's comments on these releases and future plans for Gaza have unsettled the delicate situation.
Israel's Military Preparations
Netanyahu's directive to bolster troops around Gaza is part of preparations for potential scenarios if Hamas fails to release hostages by Saturday. An Israeli official mentioned that these measures were discussed during a four-hour meeting with Netanyahu's Security Cabinet on Tuesday.
The ongoing tensions between Israel and Hamas continue to threaten the ceasefire agreement. Both sides are under pressure to adhere to their commitments while navigating complex political dynamics involving international stakeholders.
