Israeli Airstrike On Gaza School Leaves 29 Dead, Sparks Global Outcry
At least 29 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Awda school in the Gaza Strip, escalating the ongoing conflict. The UN has expressed serious concern over the violence that has displaced around 350,000 people.
At least 29 Palestinians have been killed and many more injured in an Israeli airstrike on a school in the southern Gaza Strip. The attack targeted the entrance to Al-Awda school in Abasan, where numerous women and children had sought refuge.

This incident follows three other Israeli strikes on schools in Gaza over recent days, resulting in at least 20 deaths. The UN has expressed grave concern over the escalating violence, noting that tens of thousands of civilians have been severely impacted, as reported by NDTV, citing AFP.
According to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, approximately 350,000 people have been displaced since the conflict began. Witnesses have reported artillery shelling in the central Nuseirat refugee camp and near Rafah city.
Israeli Airstrike On Gaza Intensified and International Efforts
Israeli troops, tanks, and fighter jets have launched fresh assaults on Gaza City. Meanwhile, new diplomatic efforts are underway in Qatar to secure a truce and a hostage-prisoner exchange. CIA Director William Burns and Israel's Mossad chief David Barnea are scheduled to travel to Qatar today for discussions, as reported by South China Morning Post.
The Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' armed wing, described the latest fighting as the most intense in months. Hamas has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately escalating the conflict to undermine peace negotiations.
Israeli Airstrike On Gaza: UN's Reaction and Accusations
The UN Human Rights Office has condemned the situation, expressing horror at civilians being directed to areas with ongoing military operations where they continue to be harmed. Independent UN rights experts have accused Israel of conducting a targeted starvation campaign that has led to the deaths of 34 children since 7th October, as per media reports.
Israel's mission to the UN has countered these accusations by claiming that members of the independent panel are spreading misinformation and supporting Hamas propaganda.
Retaliatory Strikes After Israeli Airstrike On Gaza
An Israeli strike last week resulted in the death of a senior Hezbollah commander. This led to retaliatory rocket and drone attacks against Israel. The cycle of violence continues to escalate with no immediate resolution in sight, as reported.
The UN has warned that tens of thousands of civilians have been affected by this surge in violence. The Agency for Palestinian Refugees reports around 350,000 people displaced since hostilities began. The situation remains dire as international efforts continue to seek a peaceful resolution amidst ongoing conflict and humanitarian crises.
