Israel military strikes Syrian army post

Initial review of the incident suggested that the shell had most likely been fired by mistake, a result of the civil war in Syria, Xinhua quoted the Israel Defence Forces saying in a text message.
The projectile exploded in an open field, setting off sirens in several Israeli communities near the border. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
An Israeli artillery unit deployed in the area fired a Tammuz high-precision missile at a Syrian military position, the Jerusalem Post reported. The military said a direct hit on the target was confirmed.
