Israel 'Must Be Punished' For Embassy Attack In Syria: Khamenei
A statement was made by Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, regarding the attack on the Iranian embassy compound in Syria, asserting that Israel "must be punished, and it shall be," on Wednesday.
This declaration was delivered during a speech marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, as reported by Reuters.

Khamenei On Syrian Embassy Attack
Khamenei emphasized that when the consulate was attacked, it was perceived as an assault on Iranian soil, and he described the action as a mistake that necessitated punishment.
In response to Khamenei's remarks, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz addressed the situation by stating that Israel would retaliate if Iran were to initiate an attack from its territory.
Katz conveyed this response via a post on the social media platform X, formally known as Twitter. Taking to the platform, Katz wrote, "If Iran attacks from its territory, Israel will react and attack in Iran @khamenei_ir"
