Israel Launches Wave of Airstrikes on Western Iran After Missile Attacks Hit Tel Aviv, Haifa
In a dramatic escalation of the ongoing conflict, Israel's military has confirmed launching a wave of airstrikes on Iranian military targets in western Iran, just hours after Iran fired dozens of missiles into Israeli territory, including Tel Aviv and Haifa.

IDF Confirms Airstrikes on Iranian Missile Launchers and Military Personnel
According to a statement posted on social media, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson said,"The Air Force has begun a wave of raids on Iranian military targets in western Iran. This morning, the Air Force also struck missile launchers which were ready to launch toward Israel, along with Iranian military personnel. Missile launchers used to launch missiles toward Israeli territory were also targeted."
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has reportedly destroyed several ballistic missile launchers that were involved in the morning's attack. The IDF confirmed that Iranian soldiers were also eliminated in the strikes, marking one of the most direct and forceful Israeli responses to Iranian aggression in recent years.
Iranian Missiles Hit Multiple Israeli Cities
Iran's armed forces launched what they called the "twentieth wave of Operation Honest Promise 3", using a combination of long-range liquid and solid-fuel missiles. According to a statement published by Iran's Fars news agency, the missiles targeted Ben Gurion Airport, a "biological research center," logistics bases, and several command and control hubs.
The strikes also hit residential areas in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Nes Tziona, with Haaretz reporting significant destruction in parts of Tel Aviv. Shockingly, no air raid sirens were heard in some of the affected areas.
Casualties and Damage Reported in Israeli Cities
Israeli emergency services reported that approximately 10 sites were hit by Iranian missiles. At least 14 people were injured, though most are believed to have suffered non-serious wounds. Rescue teams are still working at the impact sites, searching for victims and assessing the extent of structural damage.
Some buildings in central Tel Aviv were destroyed, while areas in Carmel and Haifa also sustained damage. Authorities are working to restore safety and determine the full impact of the strikes.
A Dangerous Escalation in the Middle East
This exchange of missile attacks marks a dangerous new chapter in the Iran-Israel conflict. With Iran targeting Israeli civilian and military infrastructure, and Israel responding with precision airstrikes on western Iranian military assets, global leaders are watching the situation with mounting concern.
The involvement of the United States, which recently struck key Iranian nuclear sites, has added to fears that the regional conflict could spiral into a wider war across the Middle East.
