Is Google Search Down? Reports Of Outage On Downdetector

Reports flooded in from Google users worldwide, indicating a widespread outage of the search engine. Downdetector, a platform that aggregates status reports from various sources, including users, highlighted issues with Google services such as Google Search.

According to Downdetector, over 300 users in the UK and more than 1,400 users in the US, particularly in New York, Denver, Colorado, and Seattle, reported difficulties accessing Google. Notably, other Google services like Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Talk appeared unaffected.

Approximately 100 users in the US also encountered problems with Google Maps, according to Downdetector.

Concerned individuals took to social media platforms to share their experiences, with one user on X (formerly Twitter) simply stating, "Google down." They also shared an error message indicating a temporary server issue preventing access to the search engine.

The second user said, "Went to google something and it's down #google." The third netizen commented, "so #google is down never seen that before."

Another netizen said, "#Google is down It's not the end of the world. Chill people."

However, it seems to be working now. One user said, "It's working on my phone and it works on other things, but not my Mac." Another one commented, "It's all working now."
