Is Dubai Princess Sheikha Mahra Getting Divorced? Her Latest Instagram Post Goes Viral

Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of Dubai's ruler, has publicly declared "divorce" from her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, on Instagram.

The announcement was made just over two months after the couple welcomed their first child.

"Dear Husband," the Dubai princess began. "As you are occupied with other companions, our divorce is hereby declared by me. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife."

The news has come as a shock to many on social media, with many noticing that the couple has unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted all photos of each other from their profiles, as per media reports. It has been understood that both of them might have blocked each other, while others wondered if Sheikha Mahra's account had been hacked.

"Bad news. God bless you," was commented by a user under the post. Another comment read, "I am proud of your decision."
Applause was given to the princess by a user for her "courage and bravery," with a remark that "It is just a phase of life and it will continue with good and bitterness, and life doesn't stop for anybody."

Meanwhile, a question was asked by someone, "But the divorce will occur from the husband's side, right? And the wife has to choose Khul'?" to the princess of Dubai in the comment section.

The couple got married in May last year, and their daughter was welcomed 12 months later. The "most memorable experience" of giving birth had been gushed about by Sheikha Mahra, who thanked her doctor and hospital staff for their care. In photos, her husband, Sheikh Mana, was seen cradling their little one in his arms.

Few weeks later, a cryptic post was shared by the princess on Instagram, cuddling with her baby, with the caption, "Just the two of us." Was a possible hint at the trouble brewing beneath the surface given?

Notably, Shaikha Mahra is the daughter of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai. Advocacy for women's empowerment and local designers in the UAE is supported by her. She holds a degree in International Relations from a university in the UK and also a college degree from the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration.
