US President Joe Biden has been reported to be both perplexed and irritated by some of his Democratic allies urging him to reconsider his bid for the 2024 presidential race.

Currently isolated at his Delaware beach house while recovering from COVID-19, Biden's frustration with party leaders pushing him to step aside has been documented by The New York Times.

Biden Agitated by Obama, Here's Why

It was reported that Biden, at 81 years old, perceives the calls for him to drop out of the race as part of a coordinated campaign aimed at removing him from the race. This sentiment has reportedly grown since the first presidential debate between Biden and Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Despite some lawmakers urging him to end his campaign, both former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have not publicly opposed Biden. Biden reportedly sees Obama as a "puppet master behind the scenes," noting a lack of recent support from the former President, as reported by India Today.

Although Biden and his team publicly express a desire to continue the campaign, sources close to him suggest that he is increasingly considering the possibility of withdrawing from the race. Meanwhile, it has been reported by the Associated Press that Nancy Pelosi has privately warned Biden of potential losses for the party in the House if he does not step aside.

Senator Chris Coons of Delaware, Biden's campaign co-chair, emphasized that Biden deserves the opportunity to have important discussions with caucus members, House and Senate colleagues, and Democratic leadership without battling leaks and press statements, as per media reports.

Investigative journalist Carl Bernstein reported on CNN that sources have described Biden as "angry" over the pressure from Democratic allies. The Associated Press also indicated that Biden might choose to end his 2024 campaign before the Democratic National Convention scheduled for next month in Chicago.

Despite various media reports and speculation, Biden's official decision regarding his participation in the 2024 presidential election will be confirmed only after an official announcement.
