Iryna Zarutska Murder: Trump Calls Accused ‘Animal,’ Insists On Death Penalty

Expressing outrage over the brutal killing of Iryna Zarutska, former President Donald J. Trump described the accused as an "animal" and insisted that he should face only the death penalty.

In a strongly worded post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
"The ANIMAL who so violently killed the beautiful young lady from Ukraine, who came to America searching for peace and safety, should be given a 'Quick' (there is no doubt!) Trial, and only awarded THE DEATH PENALTY. There can be no other option!!!"

Republicans Will Deliver Law And Order

Trump has repeatedly linked the tragedy to law and order issues in Democrat-led cities. On Tuesday, he stated that Zarutska's "blood is on the hands of the Democrats who refuse to put bad people in jail," adding, "North Carolina, and every State, needs LAW AND ORDER, and only Republicans will deliver it! Additionally, where is the outrage from the Mainstream Media on this horrible tragedy?" He also urged voters to support Republican Senate candidate Michael Whatley.

The Incident

Zarutska, who had fled the war-torn Ukraine and had been living in a bomb shelter, came to the United States seeking a safer life, according to her relatives. On August 22, she boarded a train and sat in front of DeCarlos Brown Jr., who suddenly pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed her without provocation. Fellow passengers, horrified by the attack, screamed and tried to intervene, but Zarutska succumbed to her injuries. A video of the incident has been widely circulated on social media.

Legal Action

The US Justice Department has charged Brown with a federal crime that carries the possibility of the death penalty. US Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed to seek the "maximum penalty" for the crime, stating, "We will seek the maximum penalty for this unforgivable act of violence - he will never again see the light of day as a free man."
