Iran: Pakistan Will Launch Nuclear Attack If Israel Strikes With Nukes

As missiles lit up the skies over Iran and Israel in one of the most dangerous escalations in the Middle East in years, a top Iranian military official made a startling claim on national television: Pakistan has allegedly assured Tehran it would launch a nuclear attack on Israel if the Jewish state uses a nuclear bomb on Iran.

The dramatic statement came from General Mohsen Rezae, a senior commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and member of Iran's National Security Council, during a televised interview. "Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with a nuclear bomb," Rezae declared, as tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv reached boiling point.

So far, at least 248 people have died in the ongoing conflict - 230 in Iran and 18 in Israel - as both sides continue to exchange missile strikes. The Iranian general's claim follows a long-standing narrative of solidarity among Islamic nations and comes months after Iran and Pakistan exchanged missile fire in early 2024, only to later repair ties in the face of mounting regional instability.

While Pakistan has not officially commented on using nuclear weapons against Israel, it has openly supported Iran in its confrontation with the Israeli state. According to Rezae, Islamabad has pledged to "stand behind Iran" and has urged the Muslim world to unite against Western-backed Israeli aggression. He also hinted that Iran possesses "hidden capabilities" not yet revealed to the world.

Both Israel and Pakistan are among the nine nuclear-armed nations recognized by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). The possibility of a nuclear escalation - even as rhetoric - has sparked fresh global concerns.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his warning to Iran, stating that any attack on the United States will be met with "the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces... at levels never seen before." Trump, who returned to office in January, said he is working to negotiate a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, even as the region teeters on the brink.

Pakistan's Defence Minister Khwaja Asif also weighed in, accusing Israel of fueling the conflict. In a post online, he said, "Western world must worry about conflicts being generated by Israel. It will engulf the whole region and beyond... Their patronage of Israel, a rogue state, can have catastrophic consequences."

The situation remains highly volatile, with no signs yet of de-escalation as the specter of nuclear war looms large over the Middle East.
