Iran Hits Back at Trump, Threatens Prolonged War

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated further as Iran strongly rejected claims made by former US President Donald Trump regarding the destruction of its military capabilities. Tehran has warned that the conflict will continue until the United States faces what it described as "lasting humiliation, regret, and surrender."

Iran Dismisses US Claims of Military Damage

According to Iran's state broadcaster Press TV, a spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters-the country's top operational military command-dismissed US assertions that Iran's Navy and Air Force had been crippled.

The spokesperson said American intelligence on Iran's military infrastructure remains "incomplete" and underestimated the country's strategic strength.

"Your intelligence on our military power is incomplete. You know nothing of our vast strategic capabilities," the spokesperson said, warning the US against assuming key missile and drone facilities had been destroyed.

Iran firmly denied that its missile production, drone deployment, and advanced defence systems had suffered major setbacks. Officials claimed that critical military assets operate from undisclosed locations beyond the reach of US strikes.

The statement emphasized that Iran retains:

• Advanced air defence networks
• Electronic warfare capabilities

Iranian authorities also warned that misjudging these capabilities could deepen what they described as a "quagmire" for the United States.

Tehran Vows Continued Retaliation

Blaming Washington for initiating the conflict, Iran vowed sustained military action in response to US aggression.

"This war will continue until you face lasting humiliation, regret, and surrender," the spokesperson said, adding that further "crushing and devastating strikes" should be expected.

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters coordinates joint operations between Iran's army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, making its statements a significant indicator of Tehran's military stance.

Trump Claims "Decisive" Blow to Iran

The sharp response from Tehran follows an earlier address by Donald Trump, in which he declared that US forces had delivered a "decisive" blow to Iran.

Trump claimed that:

• Its air force was "in ruins"
• Key leadership figures had been eliminated

"Iran's navy is gone, its air force is in ruins, and its leaders... are now dead," Trump said in his address.
