Iran Embassy In Paris Cordoned Off Following Reports Of Suspect With Explosives
The Iranian consulate in the 16th arrondissement (district) of the French capital was surrounded by police, and the public was asked to avoid the area.
According to a Paris police official, at about 11 am local time (0900 GMT), the consulate was entered by a man carrying what appeared to be a grenade and an explosive vest.

The motives of the man were not immediately clear.
Service on a nearby metro line was interrupted for security reasons, as reported by the RATP metro company.
It remains unclear whether the incident is linked to the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.
