Iran Deploys Its Heaviest Missile In Retaliatory Strike On Israel Following US Bombings
Iran has reportedly launched its most powerful missile, the Khorramshahr-4, in an attack on Israel, mere hours after American bomber aircraft targeted three nuclear sites believed to be central to Tehran's atomic programme.
State-run Iranian television broadcast what appeared to be archival footage of the Khorramshahr-4 missile, asserting it was used in the latest assault.

According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran fired at least 40 missiles in response to the US action, including the Khorramshahr-4.
The missile, also known as Kheibar, has a reported range of 2,000 kilometres and is capable of carrying a warhead weighing 1,500 kilograms. Iranian sources further claim it can carry multiple warheads.
The missile is named after Khorramshahr, a city that witnessed intense fighting during the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s.
Its alternate name, Kheibar, references a historic Jewish fortress in what is now Saudi Arabia, captured during the 7th century.
Early reports from emergency responders indicate that at least 11 people sustained injuries in this morning's missile barrage. One of the missiles struck a civilian district in northern Tel Aviv, hitting a shopping centre, a bank, and a salon.
Security services swiftly cordoned off affected areas, with road closures enforced and earthmoving equipment brought in to clear debris and ensure public safety.
