Innocent man gets free burger for a year after spending 36 years in jail
London, April 28: A man in California, US who was released from jail recently, has been given free burger for a year, media reported.
Michael Hanline was convicted of the 1978 murder of a truck driver named JT McGarry. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He served 36 years of jail terms for murder he did not commit, The Independent reported.
He has been offered free meal for a year by a burger chain that Hanline visited when he walked free on November24, 2014. All charges against him was completely dropped by a judge last week only.
