Indians On Social Media See US Presidential Elections 2024 As Tamil Nadu vs Andhra Pradesh Contest, Here's Why
For the upcoming US Presidential elections, social media users are very much excited and Indians have found their own way to see much anticipated polls. Democrat Kamala Harris, who is also serving as the vice president of the United States, has been pitted against the Republican's JD Vance, picked by President Donald Trump himself for the US President's election.
However, Indians are seeing the enthralling contest as Tamil Nadu vs Andhra Pradesh because Kamla Harris's mother Shyamala Gopalan Harris hails from Chennai, while JD Vance's wife Usha Chilukuri Vance has her roots in Andhra Pradesh.

Kamla Harris's mother Shyamala Gopalan Harris moved from Chennai to California to attain a doctoral degree, and later she got married to Donald J Harris of Jamaican descent in 1963. A year later, the couple gave birth to Kamala Harris in 1964, who is now in the fray for the President's post. She also has a sister Maya.
On the other side, JD Vance's wife Usha Chilukuri Vance's parents are Indian, who used to live in Andhra Pradesh's Chilakaluripeta before they moved to the United States. Usha was born in 1986 and attained her education in the US only to become a legal clerk at the US Supreme Court. She is now a legal associate with a private law firm in San Francisco.
Recent incidents:
It looks like it will be a cakewalk for the Republicans in the upcoming US elections as the ruling party is likely to get sympathy votes after an assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump. A bullet brushed his right ear and Trump had a narrow lucky escape.
President's security killed the shooter on the spot, and now probe agencies are now trying to find the motive and people who planned the attack.
