Indian worker commits suicide in UAE

Abu Dhabi, Sep 15: A 29-year-old Indian worker in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his home in Sharjah's Al Nahda area, media reported on Tuesday.

The worker's roommates returned in the evening and found him hanging.

They informed the police and the body was later transferred to the forensic department for post-mortem, Emirates 24/7 news portal reported.

The police have collected forensic evidence from the spot.

"We are questioning the relatives and friends of the deceased to ascertain the reason for the suicide," police said.
