Indian Travellers Can Now Enjoy Visa-Free Entry To Thailand, Read Details Here
Indian travellers can now enjoy an indefinite visa-free entry to Thailand, as announced by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Initially set to expire on November 11, 2024, this policy has been extended indefinitely. Introduced in November 2023, it allows Indian visitors a stay of up to 60 days without a visa. Travellers can also extend their stay by another 30 days at an immigration office.
Thailand's appeal lies in its beautiful beaches and rich culture, making it a favourite among Indians. Previously, obtaining a Thai visa involved fees and documentation like bank statements and hotel bookings. The new policy eliminates these requirements, making travel more accessible and affordable. As a result, there has been a surge in Indian tourists visiting Thailand.

Impact on Travel Plans
The ease of travel has led to spontaneous trips and last-minute holiday plans for many Indians. From January to mid-October this year alone, 16.17 million Indian tourists visited Thailand. This trend positions Thailand as an ideal short-haul international destination for Indian travellers seeking quick getaways.
Beyond individual tourists, the visa-free policy has boosted destination weddings and group events in Thailand. The country's scenic locations and luxury resorts are popular for such occasions. Many Indian families and corporate teams are seizing this opportunity for special trips without the visa hassle.
Thailand's Diverse Attractions
Thailand offers diverse experiences that cater to various interests. From bustling Bangkok streets to serene islands like Phuket and Koh Samui, there's something for everyone. With easy flight options from India, Thailand is now more accessible than ever for those seeking an international escape.
This trend is expected to continue with Thailand's mix of beach resorts, vibrant cities, and cultural experiences appealing to a broad range of travellers. The combination of convenience and affordability makes it an attractive choice for Indian tourists looking for memorable vacations.
If you're considering a winter getaway without the stress of visas, Thailand might be your perfect destination. With its indefinite visa-free policy and wealth of experiences awaiting you, it's closer than ever for Indian travellers seeking a seamless vacation experience.
