Indian Techie Couple, Kids Found Dead In New Jersey, US Police Suspect Murder

An Indian-origin couple and their two children were found dead in their home in New Jersey, prompting an investigation by the US Police.

The deceased were recognised as Tej Pratap Singh and his wife Sonal Parihar. The bodies of the couple along with their children were found dead in their home.

According to local news media outlets in Plainsboro, the police department is investigating the incident as a potential murder-suicide in addition to a homicide.

The Plainsboro Police Department received a 911 call on October 4th, and when they arrived at a residence in Plainsboro, they found four deceased individuals inside the house, according to a statement from Middlesex County prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Plainsboro Police Department chief Eamon Blanchard.

"We are all saddened by this tragic event. What happened in our community is beyond comprehension," Plainsboro mayor Peter Cantu was quoted as saying.

The family members stated that Singh was actively involved in the community and that he and Sonal seemed to be a happy couple. Singh worked as a senior APIX engineer for Ness Digital Engineering, while Sonal also had a career in the IT field.

According to the neighbors, the family was amiable and frequently spotted walking in the neighborhood. One neighbor mentioned that her daughter used to meet the couple's daughter at the bus stop to commute to school together every day. The same neighbor mentioned attempting to contact Parihar via text but never receiving a response.

The school authorities were notified by the local police about a terrible incident that involved a family from Plainsboro, and the children involved were attending Wicoff and Millstone River schools.

The statement further added, "As the law enforcement investigation is ongoing, we are unable to provide any additional information at this time. The District joins our community in grief and sorrow over this tragic event."
