Indian Student Missing In Chicago Since May 2; Family Worried As He Planned To Meet Someone In Texas

A 25-year-old Indian student, Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi, pursuing his master's degree in Chicago, US, has been missing since May 2. His family, based in Hyderabad, is deeply concerned and is actively involved in efforts to locate him.

According to an ANI report, the Consulate General of India in Chicago and local authorities are working to find Rupesh, who is a student at Concordia University, Wisconsin. The consulate expressed its concern, stating, "The consulate is deeply concerned about learning that Indian student Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi is incommunicado since May 2," and they are "hoping to locate/establish contact with Rupesh."

    The Chicago police have also reached out to the public for any information that could help locate the missing student. Rupesh last spoke to his father on May 2, informing him that he was working on something. However, he has been offline and unreachable since then, as reported by The Times of India.

    The family also contacted Chintakindi's roommates, who informed them that he was planning to meet someone from Texas who had arrived to meet him. "He went to meet them but we do not know who they are," the family stated.
