Indian-Origin Man Fatally Shot In Road Rage Incident In USA

A 29-year-old man of Indian descent, Gavin Dasaur, was fatally shot in a suspected road rage incident in Indiana, USA. The incident occurred on Tuesday as he was returning home with his wife Viviana ZaMora.

Dasaur, originally from Agra, had recently married ZaMora on June 29. The couple had been married for just over two before the tragic event. A of the confrontation has circulated widely on social media.

The footage shows Dasaur exiting his vehicle at an intersection and shouting at the driver of a pickup truck. He then strikes the truck's door with a gun in his hand. The driver responds by shooting Dasaur.

After being shot, Dasaur was quickly taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. His widow, ZaMora, recounted to police how she held him as he bled while waiting for medical help to arrive.

"I held him as he bled out and I was waiting for the ambulance," said ZaMora. The police have detained the accused shooter but suggested that he might have acted in self-defence.

The police spokesperson stated that after consulting with the Marion County Prosecutor's Office, the individual involved in the shooting was released. Further investigations are ongoing to determine if any charges will be filed.
