Indian-Origin Family Loses 3 Members In US Car Crash, Teen Son Survives
cIn a tragic car accident in Texas, three members of an Indian-origin family lost their lives, leaving their 14-year-old son as the sole survivor.
Arvind Mani, 45, his wife Pradeepa Arvind, 42, and their 17-year-old daughter Andril Arvind were killed in the crash, which occurred around 5:45 a.m. near Lampasas County.

The family, residents of Leander, Texas, was en route to North Texas, where they were taking Andril to begin her studies in computer science at the University of Dallas. The 17-year-old had recently graduated from high school.
Their son, Adiryan, who was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash, now faces the devastating loss of his family. A GoFundMe page titled "Support for Adiryan Arvind: A Tragic Loss and a Young Life to Rebuild" has been set up to help him financially.
The page describes Arvind and Pradeepa as "a wonderful couple blessed with two children, Andril (17) and Adiryan (14)." The fundraiser has already raised over $700,000 to support Adiryan in rebuilding his life.
The crash, which killed five people in total, including the driver of the vehicle that collided with the family's car, left no chance of survival.
Authorities noted, "There was no chance of survival. It is one of the worst crashes I have seen in 26 years because of the magnitude of the damage and the number of people lost."
According to police, the car that crashed into the family's vehicle was likely traveling at 160 km/h, based on a witness's account, making the collision akin to "driving into a concrete wall at 270 km/h."
Rouse High School, where Andril Arvind was a student, expressed their grief in a letter to parents, stating, "The Rouse High School family is deeply saddened to share the loss of one of our very own Raiders from the Class of 2024, Andril Arvind."
