Indian man commits suicide in Sharjah

Sharjah, July 27: A 24-year-old Indian man committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his place, media reported.

According to reports, Indian man working at a contracting company, used an electric cord to kill self on Saturday.

His roommate immediately informed the Sharjah Police about the incident after finding his dead body, reported Khaleej Times.

The body was sent to a forensic laboratory for more investigation.

The Sharjah Police have started a probe to determine the cause of death by questioning his friends and relatives.

According to data available, UAE is home to nearly 2.2 million Indians. Nearly 40 per cent of the Indian workers in the second largest Arab economy are from the south-Indian state of Kerala.
