Indian girl Tarishi among those killed in Dhaka terror attack, confirms Sushma Swaraj
New Delhi, July 2: An Indian girl was among 20 killed in café attack in Dhaka on Friday. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has confirmed this news on her Twitter timeline. She has made series of tweets and expressed her condolences to the family.
"I am extremely pained to share that the terrorists have killed Tarishi, an Indian girl who was taken hostage in the terror attack in Dhaka, one of her tweets read.
She further writes, "I have spoken to her father Shri Sanjeev Jain and conveyed our deepest condolences.The country is with them in this hour of grief".
Minister said that 19 years old Tarishi had finished her schooling from American School Dhaka. Swaraj also assured all possible help to the bereaved family.

Director of Military Operations Brigadier General Nayeem Ashfaq Chowdhury said the militants slaughtered 20 hostages before the joint operation led by the armed forces began.
Most of those killed were found with their throat slit, he added. He said the bodies of the victims were recovered during a search in the Holey Artisan Bakery compound after the operation. The bodies were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital morgue for autopsy to confirm their identity.
