The Indian embassy in Israel was urging its citizens living there to stay calm and adhere to the safety protocols issued by the local authorities as explosive drones and missiles were launched by Iran in its first direct attack on Israeli territory.

The situation was being closely monitored by the embassy, which was in touch with both the authorities and the diaspora members to ensure the safety of Indian citizens.

Indian Embassy In Israel Issues Advisory

"In light of recent events in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to stay calm and adhere to the safety protocols issued by the local authorities," stated the advisory.

The situation was being closely monitored by the embassy, and efforts were made to stay in touch with Israeli authorities and Indian community members to ensure the safety of all nationals.

The embassy also provided its 24*7 emergency helpline and requested Indian citizens to register with the embassy if they had not done so.

The registration form requested passport number, name, email ID, mobile number, profession, and place of residence in Israel, among other details, as reported by Hindustan Times.

An unprecedented attack on Israel was launched by Iran days after its consulate in Syria was hit with missiles. Tehran stated its strike was punishment for "Israeli crimes". Responsibility for the attack, which killed senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was neither confirmed nor denied by Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Sunday that victory would be achieved by his country after the military reported it had shot down almost all the drones and missiles launched by Iran, as per media reports.

"We intercepted, we repelled, together we shall win," Netanyahu's post on X stated.

The U.N. Security Council was scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. ET (2000 GMT) on Sunday after Israel requested condemnation of Iran's attack and designation of the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization.
