India Slams Chinese State Media For Spreading Disinformation On Operation Sindoor
India has issued a strong rebuke to Chinese state-run media outlet Global Times for spreading disinformation regarding India's cruise missile strikes targeting terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) during Operation Sindoor.
The Indian embassy in China called out Global Times for publishing misleading reports using outdated images of crashed aircraft and falsely linking them to the recent precision strikes carried out by India. These reports were related to Operation Sindoor, in which the Indian armed forces conducted 24 targeted missile strikes across nine key terrorist hubs in Pakistan and PoK.

As the Indian embassy wrote in a post on X, "Dear Global Times, we would recommend you verify your facts and cross-examine your sources before pushing out this kind of disinformation." In an effort to mislead the public, the embassy also pointed out that a large number of pro-Pakistan social media accounts have been spreading baseless allegations about the operation.
"When media outlets propagate such information without proper verification, it reveals a troubling disregard for journalistic ethics and a serious failure of responsibility," the Embassy stated.
