New Delhi, Sept 27: "India's Modi begins rock star-like U.S. tour" --- this is how the Washington Post described the high-profile visit of the Indian prime minister to the United States.

Modi reached New York on Friday for a five-day trip to the US.

Modi will address the United Nations General Assembly on Saturday while on Sunday, he will speak to an audience at Madison Square Garden. The event will be broadcast in Times Square and 100 other places across the US. Even extra trains have been arranged to accommodate the crowd.

Modi will also meet US President Barack Obama in Washington on Monday and Tuesday besides speaking to business leaders.
