Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised India's commitment to global prosperity rather than dominance. Speaking to Indian-Americans in New York, he highlighted India's pivotal role in promoting global peace. Modi stated that India's foreign policy focuses on maintaining equal closeness with all nations. He reiterated his earlier statement, "This is not the time for war," which resonated with international allies.

India's proactive approach during global crises was also highlighted by Modi. He mentioned India's swift response to disasters worldwide, including assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic to over 150 countries. Modi noted that India often acts as a first responder during earthquakes and civil wars, showcasing its readiness to help.

The Prime Minister stressed India's significant role in accelerating global growth and peace. He clarified that India's aim is not to expand its influence but to contribute to worldwide prosperity. Modi emphasised India's focus on human-centric growth, promoting yoga, lifestyle, and environmental initiatives beyond just GDP metrics.
Modi used a metaphor to describe India's approach, saying, "We are like the sun which gives brightness," contrasting it with fire. This analogy underscored India's intention to spread positivity and light rather than seeking dominance.
