India clears names of its passengers on board MH370

New Delhi, March 18: Indian intelligence officials have cleared names of the five Indians who are on board of MH 370, the Malaysia Airlines jet which went missing after taking off from Kula Lumpur on March 8, the PTI report said.

The flight vanished an hour after taking off for Beijing. It has 239 passengers on board. Besides five Indians, the flight also had 154 Chinese, 38 Malayaisna, six Australians, seven Indonesians, three Americans and two Canadians.

The five Indians are Chetna Kolekar, 55, Swanand Kolekar, 23, Vinod Kolekar, 59, Chandrika Sharma, 51, and Kranti Shirsatha, 44.

Twenty-six countries have joined the hunt for the missing plane and the search operation now extends from Australia to Kazakhstan. Several theories have been floated about the plane's disapparance although none has been established so far. It was said that the communication system of MH370 was disabled and its transponder was sitched off. It was then taken towards some other direction, suspected the authorities.

Meanwhile, Chinese authorities ruled out the possibility of hijacking or terror attack by Chinese passengers travelling in the flight.
