Ind vs Pak Champions Trophy 2025: Ahead of enthralling India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 match, Pakistan has released 22 fishermen from Karachi's Malir Jail. The move is said to be a friendly gesture by Pakistan to improve relations between the two countries.
India and Pakistan are scheduled to play in UAE's Dubai today from 1:30 pm onwards. It is going to be a do-or-die match for the host Pakistan as they have already faced a defeat vs New Zealand. And another setback will eliminate them. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma and co are aiming to seal the semi-final spot.

Release of Indian Fishermen
Discussions between India and Pakistan regarding prisoner releases have been going on for a long time. Over the past two years, eight Indian fishermen have died in Pakistani custody, and 180 remain imprisoned despite completing their sentences.
Repatriation from Sri Lanka
Meanwhile, 15 Indian fishermen repatriated from Sri Lanka arrived in Chennai on Thursday evening. They will now return to their respective homes. The High Commission of India in Sri Lanka shared on X: "Back home! 15 Indian fishermen were repatriated from Sri Lanka last evening."
