Shocking! I was raped 43,200 times, reveals human trafficking victim

Mexico: In a shocking revelation, a 23-year-old girl who is a victim of human trafficking in Mexico has said that she was raped 43,200 times.

Karla Jacinto, while narrating her ordeal to CNN said that this happened after she was lured into prostitution at the tender age of 12.

She has claimed according to the report, that she was sexually assaulted by around 30 men in a single day for 4 years.

The 23-year-old said that when she was just 12, she was trafficked by a person who lured her away with gifts and money.

Jacinto said the trafficker convinced her to leave her home town and move to Tenancingo, the hot spot of human trafficking in Mexico.

The pimp sent Jacinto to brothels, motels and prostitution homes.

"I started at 10 am and finished at midnight. We were in Guadalajara for a week. Do the math. Twenty per day for a week. Some men would laugh at me because I was crying. I had to close my eyes so that that I wouldn't see what they were doing to me, so that I wouldn't feel anything," Jacinto told CNN.

According to a TOI report, "She also claims a police operation to rescue her and a group of girls being held at a hotel descended into horror when the officers began filming the girls, some as young as 10, in compromising positions.

There are an estimated 20,000 trafficking victims in Mexico every year, according to the International Organisation for Migration."
