'I am not worthy of Peace Prize,' tweets Imran Khan
Islamabad, Mar 04: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday said he wasn't worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize, after a resolution submitted in Pakistan's top law-making body said he deserved the coveted honour.

"The person worthy of this [Nobel Peace Prize] would be the one who solves the Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people and paves the way for peace & human development in the subcontinent," the Pak prime minister tweeted.
A motion was submitted in the National Assembly Secretariat calling for Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
The motion was submitted by Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry reported Geo TV. In the motion, he mentioned Khan's role in de-escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
The Indian leadership's war hysteria caused tension between the two countries, the motion read. Indian leadership's aggression brought the two nuclear-armed countries on the brink of war. Imran Khan expertly diverted the situation towards peace, the motion further said.
PM Imran should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts towards peace, it added, the motion said.
The hashtag #NobelPeaceForImranKhan began trending on Twitter on Thursday after Imran unexpectedly announced that the captured pilot would be released as a "peace gesture".
