Hurricane Arthur makes landfall in North Carolina

According to the National Hurricane Centre, Hurricane Arthur, a Category 2 storm made landfall at 11.15 p.m. between Cape Lookout and Beaufort, CNN reported.
Hurricane Arthur was charging to the northeast at 15 mph, the centre said.
A weather expert said that the storm was getting more dangerous as it developed an inner eye wall.
"The smaller the eye gets, the stronger the winds get," the expert said.
Rain was intermittently heavy throughout the day in much of the southeastern parts of the state. After passing North Carolina, Arthur is expected to weaken as it travels north along the East Coast.
No casualties have been reported so far.
