Hunter Biden Withdraws Lawsuit Against Fox News on Explicit Images
Hunter Biden has withdrawn a lawsuit against Fox News, which accused the network of illegally publishing explicit images of him. The voluntary dismissal notice was filed by Biden's attorney on Sunday in a federal court in New York City, three weeks after the initial filing. The reasons for dropping the lawsuit remain unclear, and Biden's attorney did not respond to requests for comment on Monday.

The lawsuit centred on images shown in "The Trial of Hunter Biden," a series that premiered on Fox Nation in 2022. This series featured a "mock trial" of Hunter Biden on charges he has not faced and included explicit images of him. The complaint argued that the distribution of these intimate images without his consent violated New York's revenge porn law.
Fox News had described the lawsuit as "entirely politically motivated" and "devoid of merit" when it was initially filed. When asked for further comments on Monday, a Fox News spokesperson referred back to this statement. The program was removed from Fox Nation's streaming platform in late April, shortly after Biden's attorneys demanded its removal.
The dismissal notice coincided with President Joe Biden's announcement that he would not be running in the 2024 presidential race, which significantly altered the political landscape just months before the election.
