The 71-year-old had previously battled leukaemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm. The District Six Medical Examiner stated that his death was natural. Hogan's passing has prompted tributes from fans and officials alike.

Hogan's wife, Sky Daily, expressed her grief on Instagram, stating, "He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. This loss is sudden and impossible to process." She added, "To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry." These heartfelt words highlight the personal loss felt by those closest to him.

Hogan was a monumental figure in WWE history, captivating audiences with his charisma and wrestling prowess. He headlined the inaugural WrestleMania in 1985 and remained a central figure for years. In honour of Hogan's legacy, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that flags would be flown at half-staff at all official buildings on Friday. He declared it "Hulk Hogan Day in Florida," acknowledging Hogan as "a true Floridian through and through." This gesture reflects the widespread admiration for Hogan in his home state.

Brooke Bollea Oleksy, known professionally as Brooke Hogan, paid tribute to her father on social media. She wrote on Instagram, "I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens." Her words offer a glimpse into the personal side of the wrestling icon.

Hogan was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after medics responded to a cardiac arrest call at his Clearwater home on July 24. Despite his health challenges, his passing came as a shock to many who believed he would overcome them.
