Historic moment: Queen Elizabeth II becomes longest reigning British monarch
London, Sept 9: The Queen Elizabeth II has become longest serving monarch in the history of United Kingdom. She has broken the record of her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.
Queen Elizabeth II born on April 21, 1926 was crowned a Westminster Abbey in 1953 after death of her father King George VI.

The Queen will have reigned for 63 years and seven months - calculated at 23,226 days, 16 hours and approximately 30 minutes at about 17:30 BST.
"The historic moment will be celebrated by millions of Britons," said Prime Minister David Cameron.
To mark this historic moment, Bukingham Palace has released a photograph of the Queen taken by Mary McCartney.
