Hindus Attacked By Khalistan Supporters In Canada, Leaders Say 'Red Line Crossed'
The Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, Canada, was recently targeted in an attack by Khalistani extremists, sparking widespread condemnation from Canadian politicians. Among those voicing their outrage was Chandra Arya, a Canadian Member of Parliament, who stated, "A red line has been crossed by Canadian Khalistani extremists today." Arya’s comments underscore the severity of the incident, marking it as a significant escalation in the violence perpetrated by Khalistani radicals in the country. The attack not only targeted the physical structure of the temple but also the devotees within, raising concerns about the safety and security of religious minorities in Canada.

In response to this alarming incident, the Hindu Canadian Foundation, an organization dedicated to the welfare of the Hindu community in Canada, made public a video showcasing the horrific attack. The footage revealed that not only adults but also children and women were victims of the aggressive actions taken by the Khalistani terrorists. The Foundation's post on X, a social media platform, highlighted the brazen nature of the assault, accusing Khalistani politician sympathizers of enabling such violence. This public sharing of the attack video brought the issue to the forefront of social media discussions, amplifying the call for action against such extremist activities.
Pierre Poilievre, a political rival of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, took to X to express his concern and outrage over the attack. In his post, Poilievre declared, "Completely unacceptable to see violence targeting worshippers at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton today." He emphasized the right of all Canadians to practice their faith peacefully and reassured that he would work to unite the nation and put an end to the prevailing chaos. His statement, "Conservatives condemn this violence unequivocally," highlighted the bipartisan nature of the condemnation of the attack and the shared commitment across political lines to safeguard religious freedoms in Canada.
In a similar vein, Kevin Vuong, a Toronto MP, criticized the Canadian leaders for their failure to protect the Hindu community, equating it with past failures to protect Christians and Jewish Canadians from violence. Vuong's remarks on X painted a concerning picture of Canada becoming a refuge for radicals. He stated, "Alarming to see an attack on Hindu Canadians. From Khalistani extremists to terrorist cosplayers, Canada has become a safe harbour for radicals." His comments reflect the growing concern over Canada's national security and the protection of its diverse religious communities.
The attack on the Hindu Sabha temple has indeed ignited a firestorm of criticism and concern from Canadian politicians and community leaders alike. This incident has not only highlighted the vulnerability of religious minorities in Canada but also the broader issues of extremism and the need for stronger protective measures. As the country grapples with these challenges, the collective voice of condemnation against such attacks stands as a testament to Canada's commitment to religious freedom and the safety of its citizens.
